The birthday of my very loved mother-in-law is coming up, so this challenge is dedicated to her.
I started out on a kraft card Base and adhered an off-white panel of the same size (105 mm by 148 mm).
Then, I cut a piece of kraft cardstock to 99 mm by 142 mm. I stamped the feathers from lawn fawn 'dream' stampset in Versamark alongside the edge, creating a tone-on-tone look. After having adhered this to my project, I lined up a 85 mm by 9 mm panel of off-white paper, making sure to perfectly line up the paper, creating a 12 mm border of feather-stamped kraft.
For some extra interest, I decided to stamp the feathers in Versamark on some artist drawing paper, and heat-set it with white embossingpowder.
To colour in the feathers, I used some Distress Inks and my waterbrush.
I used the same Distress ink to colour-coordinate the strip of 99 mm by 20 strip on the card.
